Question: I'm an SSL Junkie just as much as the next person; but why get this plugin over something like Gulfoss (which I already own)?
Nice that most of these plugins have been on sale for ~34.99. Probably a good deal to be had on Black Friday too.
I have the HG-2 plugin and hardware in both HG-2 and Fusion. I love them all. The SSL transformer plugin is awesome. You got to increase input and adjust output. I like to the max the amount and adjust the wet/dry if needed. The SSL adds total richness to my ears. Get both plugins!
If you really want the SSL plugins, wait for them to go on sale.
This plugin is on sale right now for $35. I think that's a good price now. lol.
It does so little that the only knob worth anything is the shine and LF button, that's not worth the cost of the plugin. It has to be used on multiple busses to have any effect.
Two....Vintage Drive Plugins...with the Aucstica Audio Sand 3 Bundle....on Mix Bus and run that mix through an affordable analog Rack and Affordable mixer........will sound better...than using ALL THE fusion plugins....or the the physical Fusion unit....
Plugin Allinace Karacter....and Black Box....blows that thing awayyyyyyyy...LOL
The only 3 SSL Plugins...worth buying.....SSL Strip.....Vintage Drive.....and Vocal Strip......I've got...PA Black Box.....Im using....PA Karacter and SSL Vintage drive together....or Karacter and AVOX WARM together......on mixbus
Varity of Sound has a FREE one....that may be just as good as this one....???
