🤍 So I've put this badass sword through its paces, including some harsh abusive testing which it has taken like a champ. I already knew that ZT blades are built like tanks, but I was still surprised at how little damage it took from some of those tests. Cutting, chopping, bashing, stabbing, breaking... I've sure had my fun with this. :) The actual review will be uploaded not long after this video, probably 1-3 days later. The first impression is pretty awesome. Pirate Pool is the Official Can Cutting Game form Zombie Tools. It can be played with either 2 people or 2 teams of 2 players per team. The video shows you the rules and how The Punisher and Iggy played one sunny Montana day. It is played with Swords, Knives and cans filled with water. The Rules are as follow: ~ Winner of a coin toss decides whether to set-up or start cutting ~ One player sets up 9 cans (there are 9 cans per round, cans must be set completely on the table, no cans hanging over the edge) *Note: Setting up cans is part of the strategy of the game. Set up the cans in a way that is challenging but keep in mind, if your opponent misses, you now must cut the cans you set up. (Cans can be stacked for more experienced cutters. For cutting a stack, a single sweeping motion back and forth, without pausing is considered one swing.) ~ Cans are set up at a minimum of 1 inch apart. ~ A minimum of 2 cans must be cut cleanly in half in a single swing in order to score. *Note: in order to run the table for a potential perfect game you will need to cut 3 cans at least once. ~ If a can is knocked over or not cut all the way through, it is now the opponent’s turn. ~ If, at the end of a round, there is one can standing, it is the end of that player’s turn. (because you cannot cut just one can.) ~ If a player hits the table with their blade, no points are awarded and the turn is lost. ~ If a player drops their blade they are disqualified and shamed. ~ 1 point per can, first player to 21 wins. ~ A player must get 21 points exactly. (because of this rule, and because a player cannot cut just 1 can, a score of 20 is an instant loss.) I did some test cutting and a review of the Zombie Tools Reaper III, a hybrid weapon between sword and polearm. Having an overall length of 48", it has an unique design of having a blade/hilt ratio of 1:1. I discussed that although Zombie Tools blades in general don't feature any distal taper, which disqualify any object from being a sword, this model's unique trait maximizes the leverage for multiple possible grips on the prolonged grip, and the unique hilt construction featuring a full-width tang with two thick slabs of aluminum scale under leather wrapping adds a lot of weight to the hilt, which brings the center of gravity below the "guard", which makes the weapon incredibly maneuverable despite the weight of 4lbs 6oz (1998g), while still versatile when the users can choose different grips for different scenarios when encountering oppositions. The broadening of the bevel also helps with the weight distribution on the blade. I compared its usage to a late medieval sword of war, a Dane axe and a 5 feet long miao dao. The blade is made of oil-quenched through-hardened 5160 spring steel, which has a uniform thickness of 5.1mm or 1/5". The entirety of the blade remains incredibly rigid. The bevel grinding lends to an rather tough but still fine edge that cuts with ease. For its size, and Made in the USA status, it's definitely quite affordable especially during the annual sales event.
